What a tapestry design does to a wall

A real tapestry softens a room acoustically and visually because it is cloth. A printed one keeps the second half of that: the muted, slightly dusty palette and the all-over density that gives a wall texture without giving it a pattern you can trace.

That density is the reason these are so good in rooms with hard surfaces — stone floors, large windows, a lot of glass. They fill a wall the way a bookcase does, which is why they also work unusually well in a dining room or a study.

Verdure, millefleur and figures

Verdure is the greenery-only kind: layered leaves, trees and undergrowth with no story in it. It is the easiest to live with and the closest to a texture.

Millefleur scatters small flowers across a dark ground and reads richer and more decorative. Figurative tapestries — hunts, gardens, processions — have a subject, so they need a wall you can see whole and a room that is not already busy. How ordering works

Every mural is printed to the wall size you enter, so there is nothing to cut down and nothing left over. Measure the wall at its widest and tallest point, type those numbers in, and the price updates as you go. Every panel is printed with a trim allowance on each edge, free, for a clean finish at the ceiling and baseboard.
