Small room, big pattern

A laundry room is usually under thirty square feet of visible wall, which means a bold design costs very little. It is the room to try the pattern you were not brave enough to put in the living room.

Tile-style geometry, small florals and textural prints all work. Because machines and shelving cover much of the wall, avoid composed scenes and choose a repeating pattern.

Heat, humidity and machines

Tumble dryers produce heat and moisture, so use Textured and keep the paper a few inches clear of a vented dryer outlet.

Leave a gap behind the machines rather than papering the full wall and pushing appliances against wet paste — the extra few inches saves a repair later.

Measure the wall at its widest and tallest point, type those numbers in, and the price updates as you go. Every panel is printed with a trim allowance on each edge, free, for a clean finish at the ceiling and baseboard.
