About entryway wallpaper
Narrow spaces, short looks
You see a hallway in motion and from close range, which flips the usual rules. Bold, high-contrast pattern works because you are never in front of it for long. Fine detail works because you pass within two feet of it.
What does not work is a composed scene that needs standing back from. A landscape in a three-foot-wide corridor is never seen whole.
Stair walls
The stair wall is the one place in a house with genuinely tall, uninterrupted wall. A vertical composition — trees, a colonnade, a long botanical — makes use of that; a horizontal one fights it.
Measure the tallest point and the widest point of the whole triangular wall and we print a rectangle to cover it; you trim to the rake of the stairs during installation. Order a few extra inches of height if your stair angle is steep.
How ordering works
Every mural is printed to the wall size you enter, so there is nothing to cut down and nothing left over. Measure the wall at its widest and tallest point, type those numbers in, and the price updates as you go. Every panel is printed with a trim allowance on each edge, free, for a clean finish at the ceiling and baseboard.

Order a sample of any of them first — it is the cheapest way to see how a colour behaves in your own daylight.
Common questions
Measure the full width along the bottom and the height at the tallest point, which is usually at the top of the flight. Enter that rectangle; the excess is trimmed to the stair line on site. Our how-to-measure guide has a diagram for raked walls.
Usually the opposite. Hallways are transitional and a dark one makes the rooms off it feel brighter as you enter. Keep the ceiling and any doors light so the contrast reads as deliberate.
Textured, at least at the rub-height where coats and bags land. It is the most scuff-tolerant surface we print on.
