Letting them choose without regretting it

Give a child two or three options you can live with rather than the whole catalogue. They get a real choice, you get a wall you do not resent.

If they want something very specific to this year, give the big wall a subject with longer life — hills, sky, animals — and put the current obsession on a small wall in Peel & Stick. It comes off in an afternoon, and a small wall costs a fraction of a big one.

Surviving a child

Textured takes knocks best and wipes clean. Peel & Stick is the most vulnerable, because a lifted corner is an invitation.

If the mural is behind a bed or a desk rather than at ground level, the material matters much less. Height is the best protection there is.

Every mural is printed to the wall size you enter, so there is nothing to cut down and nothing left over. Measure the wall at its widest and tallest point, type those numbers in, and the price updates as you go. Every panel is printed with a trim allowance on each edge, free, for a clean finish at the ceiling and baseboard.
