How teal behaves on a wall

Teal is saturated enough to be an event and dark enough to be grown-up. It holds its colour under artificial light better than pure green, which is why it works so well in rooms lit mostly after dark. In daylight it shifts noticeably towards green, so sample it in the room's own light.

What to put teal next to

Teal with warm brass, terracotta or unglazed clay is the pairing to reach for. Teal with silver and cool grey goes clinical fast. Against white sanitaryware it looks crisp, which is why it has become the default bold bathroom colour.
